We are audited each by Schmidt, Bettencourt and Medeiros, a Turlock accounting firm. The auditor meets face-to-face with the school board and the Finance Committee each fall, to review the previous year's audit. We have been a member of the Evangelical Council of Financial Accountability since 2005. The ECFA's standards and the annual audit are available for your review in the Central Office.
During the summer between the 2006-07 and 2007-08 school years we experienced a significant decrease in elementary enrollment. Exit interviews revealed this primarily was due to finances (the economy). We have watched income and spending very closely this year, working hard to ensure students would not impacted. A mid-year (July 1-December 31) reveals that we should be very close to breaking even. For a non-profit organization such as ours, this is our goal each year, and we are deeply grateful to God for His provision.
