When you hear football, ice skating or Fresno State what do you think of? Many will now associate those words with memories of Morp 2006. Saturday, November 11, Turlock Christian High's annual event, Morp, left everyone with smiles on their faces. Students and their dates went to a Fresno State Football Game, dinner, and an evening of ice skating. The variety of the two activities, ice skating and football, made Morp enjoyable for just about everyone. According to senior Kendra Hanson, she likes "Football, because we got to talk to all the people at the game about why we were dressed up." Although students received many starnge looks from people a the game, it didn't seem to bother anyone.
It would be expected that most enjoyed the football game, but it was surprising that many have a natural talent for ice skating. " I really like the ice skating, because I'm not a big sports fan," said junior Justin Reagor. "It was something I could get involved in and do with my friends."

Since the announcement of Morp, attempts at creatively asking dates evolve into a friendly competition among girls. This year is no exception. Many of the senior and junior girls asked their dates even before it was announced. The girls shown above (picture to come) drove to a soccer game and asked their dates to Morp by making shirts that said "me" on the front and had the players' numbers on the back. They drove around the field with signs on their cars that said "will you go to morp with..."
Creative shirts were the way to go this year for many girls, including freshman, Candice Balswick, whose friends assisted her by all wearing shirt that said "Geoffrey, will you go to Morp with me?"
The costume theme this year of course, Disney. This left a lot of options for students. They could dress with the classic Disney movies, the old time shows, the famous Disney characters, and everything else in between. Some went all out with their costumes, such as sophomore, Asa Bawcum, and his Bear in the Big Blue House costume, which was loved by many. Jeremiah Godfrey also received much praise for his sacrifice of body warmth for the sake of being a true Tarzan.
...Morp 2006 was just the right combination of events to make one perfect day, full of memories, that no one will forget.
