Mathematics occurs in the daily life of everyone.  Problem solving is essential in all walks of life and mathematics is a means of learning natural processes to problem solving.

It is the desire of the Mathematics Department that each student advance in the area of Mathematics to his/her fullest potential in order to apply the concepts of mathematics to solving individual problems.

As God is absolute and a God of order, so mathematics, in its absoluteness, teaches our students orderliness.  At the same time, we want students to discover diverse processes to finding unique solutions.  The Mathematics Department  thus must offer a curriculum that can meet as many needs as possible for the basics through the calculus.  Every effort to be flexible is necessary to do this.
