Ah, Senior Class...exciting times!  This final year of high school is a special time in the life of a graduate and we hope to provide much information and helpful links on this page for parents and students.

Senior Store Requirements

The senior year is an eventful one with many opportunities to help your student have a terrific year and a memorable senior trip.

One of the biggest obligations from the seniors is working in the Senior Store, from which the proceeds are used to pay for the senior trip.  The store is run by the seniors and is our main source of profit.  It is treated as a business and students must work as if they were employees.  To avoid an excessive amount of time missed from class, the schedule will be rotated weekly.  The following weeks’ schedule will be emailed to each student, as well as being posted in the classrooms.  It is the students’ responsibility to verify when they are scheduled to work.  As with any job, not showing up or being late hurts the business.  Because the students are “paid with the senior trip” and all are paid equally and fairly, a point system has been set up to regulate those who do not follow through with their responsibilities and to reward those who go above and beyond.  The scale will be from 0 - 5: (0) not showing up for a scheduled shift, to (5) being on time and having a good attitude.  The students will also be docked for tardiness, poor attitudes, lack of participation, etc.  Understandably, things will come up that may prevent students from working their scheduled shift; however, they will still be required to find a replacement, and in doing so, they will be given partial credit.  For now, I do not plan to assign brownie days but rather am offering this as an opportunity to gain extra points.  However, this may become a requirement in the next few months.

We will also be needing assistance from our senior parents for the major fund raising events that take place.  These will include football games, the spaghetti dinner, and Homecoming.  I have created the football schedule and assigned each senior parent a shift.  If the time you are scheduled for does not work for you, please make arrangements to switch with someone and notify me of the changes as soon as possible.  Either the parent or senior may work the shift, as long as it does not conflict with the student’s schedule, as they will also be working during the games.  Ultimately, it is the student’s responsibility to make sure the shift is covered.

We will also be needing transportation for the trailer.  If you have a ¾ ton truck and would be able to pull the trailer to any of the home games, please let me know.

Home Football Games are as follows: (Sports Schedule)

Friday, Sep 12:   at Waterford High School (against North Hills Christian School)

Friday, Sep 26:  at Livingston High School (against Orestimba High School)

Friday, Oct 17:   at Livingston High School (against Mariposa High School)

Friday, Oct 31:   at Delhi High School (against LeGrand High School)

Friday, Nov 7:    at Livingston High School – Homecoming - (against Waterford High School)

Thank you in advance for your help and please feel free to email me if you have any questions.

Senior Portraits & Baby Advertisements

Senior ads with Baby Photos are a treasured tradition at TCS, and a highlight for your graduating student. Personal messages to your special graduate – notes of encouragement, congratulations, unique memories, etc. – make the yearbook very meaningful.

All Senior Portraits And Senior Baby Picture Advertisements for the Yearbook must be received by Friday, December 19, 2008 or else the Yearbook Staff reserves the right to use your student body card photo as your Senior Portrait in the Yearbook.

It is best if the pictures are on CD/DVD in jpeg format - although we can scan a photo (approximately 3" x 4") into the computer and upload it into our yearbook program. IF YOU WANT YOUR SENIOR PORTRAIT IN COLOR, SEND IN A COLOR PICTURE; IF YOU WANT YOUR SENIOR PORTRAIT IN BLACK & WHITE, SEND IN A BLACK & WHITE PICTURE. If pictures are not provided on a CD/DVD, please provide a self-addressed envelope so we can return the original photo.

Senior Baby Picture Advertisements are $35 for a quarter page and $65 for a half page. You must submit the Baby Picture Ad ready to be scanned as shown on this linkQuarter page ads are vertical, and half page ads are horizontal; both according to measurements on example page: 51/4" (H) x 4" (W) or 51/4 " (H) x 81/4" (W).

For those Seniors still looking for a quality photographer that is honest and fair, call Art Tanis Photography at 209.847.2865 and make an appointment today! (Arthur Tanis is a professional photographer related to Mr. Tanis.)
