The purpose of the board is to see that TCS achieves its Ends and avoids unacceptable situations.
The job of the board is to represent the owners (God and Christians who share a passion for the mission of TCS) who actively support the the doctrine, statement and mission of the school, in determining and demanding appropriate organizational performance.
The board shall govern with an emphasis on (a) biblically-based integrity and truthfulness in all methods and practices, (b) outward vision rather than internal preoccupation, (c) strategic leadership more than administrative detail, (d) clear distinction of board and superintendent roles, (e) collective rather than individual decisions, (f) future vision rather than dwelling on past events, and (g) proactivity rather than reactivity. |
